The Women’s Japan National Team will travel to Fiji in early September to participate in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup EAP Qualifier. 

The tournament features eight (8) teams, split into two groups. Japan are drawn in Group A along with Papua New Guinea (PNG), Samoa and Philippines, while Group B features Vanuatu, Indonesia, Fiji and Cook Islands.

The team will also play two matches against hosts Fiji as part of their tournament preparations, before the official matches begin on 9th September. 

The selection committee, led by Head Coach Vinay Iyer, has chosen an experienced team with no players in line to make their debuts.

  • 6th September (Saturday) 09:30 – Fiji vs Japan
  • 9th September (Tuesday) 09:30 – PNG vs Japan
  • 10th September (Wednesday) 09:30 – Japan vs Samoa
  • 12th September (Friday) 09:30 – Philippines vs Japan
  • 13th September (Saturday) 09:30 & 13:30 – Semi Finals
  • 15th September (Monday) 09:30 & 13:30 – Finals
