The Japan Cricket League is the top one-day league in Japan. Played over four divisions, teams from around Kanto compete in 40 over matches on Saturdays and Sundays from April to November.

Division 2 is for ambitious players wanting a good standard of cricket. This league may include some national squad members, and is likely to feature national academy members as well as former Division 1 players who have leadership roles in the team.

Players in this Division may have ambitions of reaching Division One, while others may be promoted from Division 3. No players should feature in Division 4 or below.
