2013 Tour UK Tour

As preparation for the Twenty20 World Cup Qualifier in Ireland, the Japan team toured the UK playing in a host of friendly matches. The team, coached by Scott McNaughton played in a variety of locations across England and Scotland, including the Nursery Ground at Lord’s. 2014 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier

As reward for winning the 2012 Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific Trophy, the Japan Women’s Team qualified to take part in the first round of qualifying for the Women’s World Twenty20 Tournament to be held in Bangladesh in 2014.   The qualifying tournament took place in 2013 in Ireland. 2014 Asian Games – Incheon (Olympic Tournament)

In September 2014 the Japan Women’s Team took part in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, Korea. As in 2010, the tournament was held in the Twenty20 format. Japan were seeded courtesy of a third placed finish in 2010, which meant avoiding the group stage and going straight into a quarter final. 2014 Pepsi ICC EAP Men’s Trophy (Official Competition)

In November 2014 Japan took part in the ICC East Asia Pacific Regional Tournament as part of the pathway to World Cup Qualification and the World Cricket League. The competition would feature eight teams in the Twenty20 format, followed by another four teams in a 50-over knockout format.   The Japan team, coached by Dhugal Bedingfield, played seven matches, winning two and losing five.
