2015 East Asia Series (Friendly Matches)
In September 2015 Japan hosted a series of Twenty20 matches between the Japan Men’s Team, Hong Kong Dragons and an invitational ‘Commonwealth XI’. In 2016 Japan Women competed in the Women’s World Cup Qualifier – EAP, a 50-over tournament that would take place in Samoa during July. The team was coached by Nicole Martin of Cricket Victoria and captained by Mai Yanagida. The tournament only featured three teams; Japan, Papua New Guinea and Samoa with Japan finishing third.
