The format of the event is teams playing at least four matches each between 1pm and 5pm. ICC Women’s Qualifier – EAP (2019)
The 2019 ICC Women’s EAP Qualifier took place in Vanuatu during May of that year and the Japan Team was coached by Duncan Harrison of Cricket Victoria and captained by Mai Yanagida. This was the first tournament where the matches were given official T20 International status by the ICC and so when Japan defeated Fiji in Round Three it was their first official victory under the new ICC rules. Under 19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier – EAP
The Under 19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier EAP was held in Sano in June 2019 and was the first time that Japan had fielded a team in this age group since 2011. Head Coach for the tournament was Dhugal Bedingfield while Marcus Thurgate was named captain. The tournament included teams from Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Vanuatu.
