Japan Cricket is delighted to announce a decade partnership with Cricket Without Borders
Cricket Without Borders (CWOB) and Japan Cricket date back to 2012 when they played against each other in Singapore. From then, CWOB visited Japan back in 2014 when they were invited to participate in the ICC EAP Regional Women’s World Cup Qualifying event held in Sano, Japan.
During this time, CWOB also assisted in the promotion and development of cricket in Japan resulting in a signing of MOU to provide internships for CWOB players to visit Japan as well as for our Women Japan National players to participate in cricket tours organized by CWOB.
Through the partnership with CWOB, Japan Cricket have had multiple interns assist us throughout the years;
- 2015 – Alana King
- 2016 – Chelsea Moscript and Charlotte Keen
- 2017 – Madeline Tobias
- 2018 – Alice Johnstone
- 2019 – Jess Adams
As well as a few Japan National players touring with the CWOB crew.
- Fiji Tour 2022 – Elena Kusuda-Nairn
- Malaysia Tour 2024 – Elena Kusuda-Nairn and Meg Ogawa
From these experiences, we are excited to continue this partnership with Cricket Without Borders.
