Disciplinary Panel Decisions 2022

Matters considered by the Disciplinary Committee for the 2022 season appear below:

Kalhara Pushpitha (Kyoto Legends)  – Reported in Japan Cup Kansai Division Two, Round One, under the Captains Code of Conduct for failure to work with the umpires during recalculations, failure to control his team and failure to uphold the integrity of the sport. One (1) match ban suspended for 24 months.

Raman Tanwar (Kawasaki Knight Riders) – Reported in Round Two of the Japan Cricket League Division Three for misconduct. One (1) match ban active immediately and one (1) match suspended until 24th April 2024. He will miss the Japan Cricket League Division Two Round Three match on 8th May 2022.

Arsal Sohail (Chiba Sharks)  – Reported in Japan Cricket League Division One, Round Four for dissent and obscene language. One (1) match ban suspended for 24 months. – Ban Activated following reporting in Japan Cup East Kanto Round Three. He will now miss JCL Round Six on 18th June vs Wyverns 1st XI.

Munir Ahmad (Pakistan Stars)  – Reported in Japan Cup North Kanto Division One, Round Two for unauthorised entry into the field of play. Two (2) match ban suspended for 24 months.

Ameer Ahmad (Pakistan Stars)  – Reported in Japan Cup North Kanto Division One, Round Two for unauthorised entry into the field of play, obscene language and intimidating an umpire. Four (4) match ban active immediately. He will miss rounds three, four and five of the North Kanto Japan Cup Division One, and a further match to be specified at a later date.

Rashid Rana (Pakistan Stars)  – Reported in Japan Cup North Kanto Division One, Round Two for unauthorised entry into the field of play, dissent and failure to control his players under the Captains Code of Conduct. Six (6) match ban active immediately. He will miss rounds three, four and five of the North Kanto Japan Cup Division One, and Rounds Five, Seven & Eight of the Japan Cricket League Division One where he represents Paddy Foleys Cricket Club.

Ali Ashar (Tokyo Falcons)  – Reported in Japan Cricket League Division Three, Round Four for dissent. One (1) match ban suspended for 24 months.

Deepesh Trivedi (Tokyo Falcons) Reported in Japan Cricket League Division Three, Round Four for unauthorised entry into the field of play and failure to control his players under the Captains Code of Conduct. Three (3) match ban active immediately. He will miss rounds six, seven and eight of the Japan Cricket League Division Three.

Arsal Sohail (Chiba Sharks)  – Reported in Japan Cup East Kanto Division One, Round Three for abuse of equipment and obscene language. One (1) match ban active immediately. He will miss the East Kanto Japan Cup Round Four match on 25th June vs Tokyo Falcons T20.

Mohamad Rizvin Mohamad Ifthikan (Chiba Kings)  – Reported in Japan Cup Tokai, Round Three for unauthorised entry into the field of play. Two (2) match ban active immediately. He will miss the Tokai Japan Cup Round Four & Five matches on 24th July vs Nagoya Bengal Tigers & Ebina.

Chanaka Dushmantha (Osaka Lions)  – Reported in Japan Cup Kansai, Round Four under the Captains Code of Conduct for failing to respect the playing times allocated for each innings. One (1) match ban suspended for 24 months.

Kunwar Mahender (Royal Osaka Tigers)  – Reported in Japan Cup Kansai, Round Four for unauthorised entry into the field of play, showing serious or persistent dissent at an umpire’s decision by word or action, failing to cooperate with umpires and failing to respect the playing times allocated for each innings under the Captains Code of Conduct. Four (4) match ban active immediately and a further two (2) match ban suspended for 24 months. He will miss round five of the Kansai Japan Cup Division One against Kyoto Super Lions, and the subsequent three Japan Cup matches that Royal Osaka Tigers are scheduled to play.

Mr Mahfuzul Islam (Kobe Tigers)  – Reported in Japan Cup Kansai Division Two, Semi-Final, under the Captains Code of Conduct for failure to accept the umpire’s decision, create a positive atmosphere and to show self-discipline. One (1) match ban suspended for 24 months.

Mr Hanif Niazi (Sultans of Japan)  – Reported in Japan Cup Finals Eliminator, under the Captains Code of Conduct for failure to control his players. Two (2) match ban suspended for 24 months.

Mr Ashiq Hussain (Sultans of Japan / Paddy Foleys)  – Reported in Japan Cup Finals Eliminator for a Level Four (4) breach of the Participant Code of Conduct. Banned for the entirety of the 2023 season from all JCA Competitions.

Mr Dilan Silva (Kyoto Super Lions)  – Reported in Japan Cup Finals, under the Captains Code of Conduct for failure to accept the umpire’s decision, create a positive atmosphere and to show self-discipline. Two (2) match ban suspended for 24 months.

Mr Charith Kodokara (Kyoto Super Lions)  – Reported in Japan Cup Finals for dissent. One (1) match ban suspended for 24 months.
