Today the Men’s National Training Squad for 2017 was announced. The players were chosen based on on and off field performances and the trials held last month.
The players chosen are:

- Wataru Miyauchi (Wyverns Cricket Club)
- Mitsuki Nakae (Ryukoku University Cricket Club)
- Ken Okoshi (Wyverns Cricket Club)
- Tomoki Ota (Wyverns Cricket Club)
- Rinsei Sawada (Wyverns Cricket Club)
- Muneeb Siddique (Chiba Sharks Cricket Club)
- Tsuyoshi Takada (Hosei University & Musashino University Cricket Club)
- Kazumasa Takahashi (Sano Cricket Club)
- Makoto Taniyama (MAX Cricket Club)

Since the men played their major tournament in February this year, the focus for the new season is on the three high performance camps, due to take place in May, August and October. Matches are also in the process of being arranged against a variety of opposition.
