The Japan Cricket Association is extremely grateful to Sri Lanka Cricket who, as part of our ongoing partnership, have sent a coach and pitch curator to be based in Japan for the next six weeks.
Coach Sachith Pathirana, who played 23 times for Sri Lanka between 2015-2017 and also captained their Under 19 team as a player, is excited to be based in Sano.
He said: “All I have met since arriving are awesome people. I am here to give my best to Japan Cricket.”
Sachith is available to coach anyone who is able to travel to the Sano International Cricket Ground. If you are interested in working with him, please contact High Performance Coordinator Ardene Ruhode on d-ruhode@cricket.or.jp. There are no restrictions on who can receive coaching.
Asitha Wijayasinghe is a curator at Pallekele Cricket Ground, one of the top venues in Sri Lanka, and has also conducted curator education courses for more than ten nations across Asia.
We are extremely grateful to both Sachith and Asitha for coming to Japan and hope their time here is both productive and memorable.
