Brian Bell East Asia-Pacific Women’s Cricket Challenge 2006
2006/09/12 - 2006/09/15
In 2006 Brian Bell & Co were awarded the naming rights for the first ever East Asia Pacific Women’s Tournament, which would consist of a three match 50-Over series between Papua New Guinea and Japan, to be played at Amini Park, Port Moresby.
The winning team would move into the world group to attempt to qualify for the 2007 Women’s World Cup. Coached by Kazuhiro Takahashi, there were some good individual performances, but despite these Japan would return winless from the tour.
