2010 Asian Games – Guangzhou (Olympic Tournament)

China were the hosts of the 2010 Asia Games and the cricket was played in the purpose built stadium in Guangzhou. The tournament was held in the Twenty20 format.

 

Coached by Katrina Keenan, Japan were drawn in a group alongside Nepal, Bangladesh and Hong Kong, while Pakistan and Thailand joined the hosts China in the opposing group. This represented a landmark moment for women’s cricket in Japan as the team returned with a Bronze Medal.
