Japan completed a routine win over Fiji on Day Two of the ICC Men’s U19 WC EAP Division One 2025.

After a second delay in successive days the match was reduced for 40 overs and after the toss was finally taken Fiji called correctly and chose to bat first.

As in the previous day Kazuma Kato-Stafford made an early breakthrough but it was the spinners who did the most damage.

Just four Japanese bowlers were used and the Fiji batters had no answers to the guile of Charlie Hara-Hinze (five for 20), and Nihar Parmar (four for 19) as Japan took all ten wickets for just 54 runs in 18.3 overs.

Fiji were boisterous and energetic in the field and were able to pick up four wickets of their own before Hara-Hinze made batting look easier than anyone else on the day with a quickfire 23* from 14 balls to give Japan the win by six wickets.
