Purpose:
The Japan Under 19 Tournament and University League in Japan have produced many players who have gone on to represent Japan at International level.
However, the level of coaching to players who do not reach the Japan National Squad remains limited. The JCA would like to give the opportunity to the most committed players aged between 16 – 22 to attend a 1.5 day camp in Sano.
The Camp will be run by a Level Three coach from Cricket Victoria who will also work with our Men’s and Women’s National Teams while in Japan.
This program will give young cricketers a chance to receive a higher level of coaching and a valuable insight into what life in a High Performance environment is like.
We hope this exposure to better training habits will enable players to return to their clubs with new ideas and motivation to improve their game.
Registration:
There are only 30 places available. The JCA will be officially inviting 10-15 players who have been identified through their performances in Under 19 and University Competitions. The remaining places will be on a first come – first served basis.
The form is attached along with this information sheet, and those officially invited they must reply by Friday 26th May. All other applicants will need to be filed by Friday 30th June.

Future Plans:
We hope that this will become a regular part of the JCA calendar and that we can continue developing talented cricketers throughout Japan at a young age and give them more opportunities to learn and develop their skills.
