Back by Popular Demand! Beach Cricket Tournament Returns for Its 2nd Year at Nishikinohama Beach, Kaizuka City!

Following last year’s success, the Beach Cricket Tournament will once again be held at Nishikinohama Beach in Kaizuka City, Osaka—proud recipient of the international beach and marina certification “Blue Flag” in 2024.

This event is designed especially for cricket beginners and will be played using simplified rules that anyone—regardless of age or gender—can enjoy. Form a team with your family, friends, or coworkers and join us for a fun day at the beach!

How to Apply

Applications are accepted either:

• As a team (6 players per team), or
• In pairs (2 participants)

No advance registration is required for these activities—everyone is welcome to join!

Information

• Participation is free of charge.
• The event will be canceled in case of rain. Participants will be notified via email, and updates will also be posted on the Kansai Cricket Association’s official X (formerly Twitter).

In addition to the championship, special awards include:

• Best Dresser Award*
• Spirit Award (Most Energetic Team)

Why not aim for these as well?

The overall winner will be determined based on total points earned not only in beach cricket matches but also through participation in petanque and flip-flop throwing.

* Awarded to the team with the most impressive outfits (matching uniforms are not required)
** Awarded to the team that showed the most enthusiasm, teamwork, and enjoyment of cricket
