The Men’s Japan Under 19 team for the 2024 Asia Cup has been selected by the National Academy selection committee, headed by coach Ardene Ruhode.
The team will be captained once again by Koji Hardgrave-Abe, who is joined by fellow full internationals Charlie Hinze, Kazuma Kato-Stafford and Kiefer Yamamoto-Lake all of whom have debuted for the Japan Men’s team in 2024.
Three players, Skyler Nakayama-Cook, Kai Wall and Yuto Yageta will tour for the first time, while Max Yonekawa-Lynn returns for the first time since June 2023.
The tournament will take place in Dubai from the 29th November to the 8th November with Japan scheduled to play UAE, India and Pakistan in the group stages.
Off field, Jarrad Shearer reprises his role as Team Manager, as does Hiromu Inoue as trainer. Reo Sakurano-Thomas will join the team for the first time as Assistant Coach.

The fixtures are scheduled as follows:
- 30th November (Saturday) – UAE vs Japan, Sharjah
- 2nd December (Monday) – India vs Japan, Sharjah
- 4th December (Wednesday) – Pakistan vs Japan, Dubai
Knockout matches are scheduled as follows:
- Semi-Finals: Friday 6th December
- Final: Sunday 8th December
All matches commence at 09:00 local time / 14:00 Japan Standard Time.
