Women’s Team Confirmed for East Asia Cup and Singapore Series

The selection committee for the Women’s Japan National Squad has chosen the teams who will compete in the recently confirmed home series against Singapore, and the East Asia Cup in South Korea. 

Japan will play five matches at the Sano International Cricket Ground from 1st – 6th October, before departing for Incheon on 7th October with matches commencing on the 8th. 

The Women’s East Asia Cup has expanded to a five-team event for 2024 with Mongolia making their tournament debut, and the host nation will enter a team for the first time since 2018. 

Mai Yanagida will captain a squad of 17 for the series against Singapore, with 14 of those travelling to South Korea, while Rino Morita hopes to become the 77th female to represent Japan.
