SUMMARY:[:en]2018 Men's East Asia Cup[:ja]2018年男子東アジア カップ[:]
DESCRIPTION:In September 2018 Japan Men travelled to Hong Kong for the second edition of the Men’s East Asia Cup. After being Runners Up in the first event two years earlier the team\, co-coached by Dhugal Bedingfield of the JCA and Steve Zayler of Cricket Victoria\, were extremely motivated. \nThe team\, captained by Masaomi Kobayashi\, included Kazumasa Takahashi who\, at 15 years and one day old\, became Japan’s youngest ever representative when he played against the Hong Kong Dragons. The group was also significant as Shogo Kimura\, the former Baseball professional\, made his debut in the tournament. \nJapan played excellent cricket throughout the tournament winning all of their matches as Makoto Taniyama excelled with bat and ball to finish as second highest run scorer and fourth leading wicket-taker. The full list of players can be found by clicking here while all results are available on ESPN Cricinfo. \n2018 Men’s East Asia Cup Schedule:\n\n\n\n\n\nDate\nTime\nEast Asia Cup\nVenue\n\n\nSep. 13 Thurs\n09：30 – 12:30\nMatch 1: China vs Korea\nMission Road\n\n\n\n12：30 – 13:30\nLunch\n\n\n\n\n13：30 – 16:30\nMatch 2: Japan vs Hong Kong Dragons\nMission Road\n\n\nSep. 14 Fri\n09：30 – 12:30\nMatch 3: Korea vs Japan\nHong Kong CC\n\n\n\n12：30 – 13:30\nLunch\n\n\n\n\n13：30 – 16:30\nMatch 4: Hong Kong Dragons vs China\nHong Kong CC\n\n\nSep. 15 Sat\n09：30 – 12:30\nMatch 5: Japan vs China\nMission Road\n\n\n\n12：30 – 13:30\nLunch\n\n\n\n\n13：30 – 16:30\nMatch 6: Hong Kong Dragons vs Korea\nMission Road\n\n\nSep. 16 Sun\n09：30 – 12:30\n3rd Pace Playoff\nKowloon CC\n\n\n\n12：30 – 13:30\nLunch\n\n\n\n\n13：30 – 16:30\nFinal\nKowloon CC\n\n\n\n16：45 – 17:15\nClosing Ceremony\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:[:en]Embassy Cup 2018[:ja]2018エンバシーカップ[:]
DESCRIPTION:On the weekend of 22nd & 23rd September the newly renovated Sano International Cricket Ground was officially opened with the hosting of the eight-team Embassy Cup and the “Summer Picnic in Sano”. \nApproximately 2\,700 people attended during the two days to watch cricket\, sample foods from around the world\, experience “Glamping” and watch Paddington 2 on the Nebukuro outdoor cinema. \nOn the field there the eight teams were split into two divisions; the top division included India\, Pakistan\, Sri Lanka and Japan while the lower division featured a combined Australia/New Zealand team\, Bangladesh\, Great Britain and Nepal.   \nSome celebrities were also on show as Sri Lanka fielded former international star Ajantha Mendis plus professional cricketer Navantha Rathnayake\, who have more than 400 first class wickets between them. The ANZ team looked to rugby for their celebrity import\, as former All Black and current Panasonic Wild Knights Head Coach Robbie Deans proved he can hit the ball further than anyone else on show. \nA summary of results can be found by clicking here\, as Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the Division One Final and the ANZ side overcame a plucky Nepal team in the Division Two Final. \nThe JCA were delighted to welcome a number of special guests including the Ambassadors of Bangladesh and Pakistan along with the deputy Ambassador of New Zealand. ICC Head of Global Development William Glenwright was also present and said after his visit: \n“Privileged to attend the opening of Sano International Cricket Ground: an innovative sport & community facility as part of the Cricket Japan ‘Cricket Towns’ Strategy. Fantastic work by a very clever Member Association.” \nThe JCA would like to thank all who attended as players and spectators\, well as the sponsors who enabled the event to take place. We look forward to hosting more such events in the future. \n \nThe full fixture list is below: \n\n\n\nDate / Group\nTime\nVenue\nFixture\n\n\nSeptember 22\, Saturday\n\n\n\n\n\nGroup A\n10:15 – 13:15\nSICG 1\nIndian Embassy vs Pakistan Embassy\n\n\nGroup B\n10:15 – 13:15\nSICG 2\nBangladesh Embassy vs Nepal Embassy\n\n\n\n13:15 – 13:45\n\nLunch Break\n\n\nGroup A\n13:45 – 16:45\nSICG 1\nJapan vs Sri Lankan Embassy\n\n\nGroup B\n13:45 – 16:45\nSICG 2\nAustralia/NZ Embassy vs British Embassy\n\n\nSeptember 23\, Sunday\n\n\n\n\n\nGroup A\n10:15 – 13:15\nSICG 1\nThird vs Fourth\n\n\nGroup B\n10:15 – 13:15\nSICG 2\nThird vs Fourth\n\n\n\n13:15 – 13:45\n\nLunch Break\n\n\nGroup A\n13:45 – 16:45\nSICG 1\nFinal\n\n\nGroup B\n13:45 – 16:45\nSICG 2\nFinal
