The Australian Football Association Japan (AFL JAPAN) is hosting Australia Sports Day which would be held at Komazawa Olympic Park on Wednesday 25 January. Australia Sports Day is an event where you can enjoy three of Australia’s most popular sports – Australian football, cricket and netball – all at the same time.
\nThese sports have professional leagues in Australia and attract large crowds, but are not as well known in Japan. The three organisations have cooperated to organise the event in the hope that people can enjoy Australia’s most popular sport in a casual way. Entry, watching and experiencing the sport are all free, so please feel free to come along to the venue.
\nNo pre-registration is required to attend.
\nDate: 25 February (Saturday)
\nVenue: Komazawa Olympic Park Auxiliary Stadium
\nEntry is free of charge, and participation in the experience is also free of charge.<\/p>\n

    10:30-11:00 Beginners’ trial session<\/p>\n

    Children (primary schools) to adults (16 years and over) will be divided into groups for experience!<\/p>\n

    11:00-12:00 Beginners’ game<\/p>\n

    A simple game for everyone to experience!<\/p>\n

      12:15-13:15 Beginners experience<\/p>\n

      Children (primary school) to adults (16+) will be split up!<\/p>\n

      13:15-13:45 Legends Match<\/p>\n

      Match by retired players *You can jump in 13:45-15:15 Exhibition Match<\/p>\n

      Watch a match played by current players!<\/p>\n

        15:30-16:30 Beginners’ trial session<\/p>\n

        The event’s sponsor, meat pie brand Four’N Twenty, will be on sale on the day, as well as goods from the various associations. There will also be a chance to win free meat pie vouchers for games during the experience, which can be exchanged for a hot meat pie on the spot!<\/p>\n
