The next highest score was just 11.

The result means Singapore can claim second place and a spot in the semi finals if they defeat Bhutan on Thursday, while Japan are next in action on Tuesday 1st July against Indonesia in a contest which may well be a dead rubber.

HIGHLIGHTS

The full match schedule is as follows:

22nd June (Sunday) 11:00 – Japan vs Bhutan (Japan won by 215 runs)

24th June (Tuesday) 11:00 – Japan vs Nepal (Nepal won by 9 wickets)

26th June (Thursday 11:00 – Japan vs Singapore (Singapore won by 3 wickets)

1st July (Tuesday) 11:00 – Japan vs Indonesia

3rd July (Thursday) 11:00 – Semi Finals

5th July (Saturday 11:00 – Finals

*Match times are JST

**Matches are 50 overs

All matches will be shown live on the Asia Cricket Council YouTube Channel

JCA Official Social Media

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cricketjapan

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/japan_cricket

X: https://twitter.com/CricketJapan

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@japan_cricket

The men’s Japan Under 16 team fell to a narrow defeat against Singapore, despite an outstanding all round performance by captain Charlie Hara-Hinze.
