style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Japan Cricket Association is delighted to formally announce that we will host the Men\u2019s Mongolia National Team for a seven-match T20 International Series in Sano this May.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The series will begin on Tuesday 7th May and continue through to Sunday 12th May, with Friday 10th scheduled as a rest \/ reserve day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mongolia are the newest members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) having been <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espncricinfo.com\/story\/icc-inducts-mongolia-tajikistan-and-switzerland-as-new-members-1270128\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">granted membership<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in July 2021, but have struggled for matches in that time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both their men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams appeared at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/search.espncricinfo.com\/ci\/content\/site\/search.html?search=+Mongolia;type=match\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asian Games<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Hangzhou in 2023, but the two matches played in that event remain their only fixtures to date.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Speaking ahead of the series the JCA Head of Cricket Operations Alan Curr said: \u201cWe are really pleased to be able to confirm this series and it has taken a lot of work behind the scenes.\u201cWe know how hard it can be to get fixtures when you\u2019re first starting out so we hope that this opportunity can be a great experience for both sets of players.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He went on to say: \u201cMongolian culture has a strong presence in Japan already through their outstanding success in Sumo over <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nippon.com\/en\/japan-topics\/g02263\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the last 30 years<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so I think our fans will be keen to see how they perform in cricket.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Men\u2019s Head Coach Dhugal Bedingfield has named the following team for the level<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the selection Bedingfield said: \u201cIt was a difficult squad to select with a few players unavailable for work or school commitments, but that allows us to have a look at new players.
