He set an example in everything he did on and off the field and was a perfect role model for the younger players who will follow him. We wish him well and hope he remains an active part of the Japan family for many years to come\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-20388 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/HT0_3702-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/HT0_3702-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/HT0_3702-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/HT0_3702-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/HT0_3702-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/HT0_3702.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Takurou Hagihara was a long-time teammate of Kobayashi, who made his debut in 2007 and played 49 times, last appeared for Japan in 2017 and has continued to take wickets in club cricket.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Third on the list of the Japan Men\u2019s all time leading wicket-takers, Hagihara took 47 wickets in his career with his best performance being <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espncricinfo.com\/series\/icc-world-cricket-league-division-five-2008-347237\/afghanistan-vs-japan-group-b-347951\/full-scorecard\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">five wickets<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for 25 runs against Afghanistan in 2008.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When asked about his time playing for Japan he said: \u201cPlaying for Japan gave me experiences and feelings that I could not get in any other aspect of my life. Representing your country is so special, and brought a unique pressure that I enjoyed, and still miss from time to time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-20390 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC07117-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC07117-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC07117-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC07117-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC07117-1536x1019.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/cricket.or.jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/DSC07117.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the Women\u2019s Team Miho Kanno, who made her debut in 2010, has stepped away from the squad after 55 appearances which includes 450 runs and 19 wickets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her highest score of 65 not out came against Singapore in 2013, while three wickets for just nine runs against Papua New Guinea in 2014 was her best bowling performance.
